Getting started
Join or create a club
If a friend invited you, open their invite link. It takes you to the club, and you can join after signing in. To start your own, create a club and choose what it’s for: movies, TV, music (albums) or books. Private clubs are invite-only, so you share the link with the people you want. Public clubs can be joined by anyone.
The rotation
In a private club, members take turns picking each week. When it’s your turn, you choose what the club watches, listens to or reads. In a public club, the club votes on next week’s pick instead.
Scoring and the reveal
Everyone scores the pick on the club’s rubric (for example story, acting and direction; club owners can set their own categories and weights). Scores are blind: nobody sees anyone’s until everyone is in. Then comes the reveal, with the club average, the category breakdown, and whether the club agreed or split.
Common questions
I missed a week, or the order is wrong
On Home, use We took the week off if nobody picked, or Skip a turn if the person whose turn it is can’t pick. If the order itself is wrong, a club owner can reorder it.
How do I turn notifications on or off?
Notifications are optional and you can choose each type separately: your turn to pick, voting closing, scores due, and results in. Change them in the app under You, then Settings, then Notifications. On iPhone, you can also manage permission for the app in iOS Settings.
I forgot my password
You can reset it by username. On the sign-in screen, choose the forgot-password option and enter your username; we send the reset link to the email on the account. If you can’t get in, email us from that address.
How do Sign in with Apple and Hide My Email work?
If you sign in with Apple and choose Hide My Email, we only ever see Apple’s private relay address, never your real one. That works fine. Either way, your email is never shown to other users.
How do I leave a club?
On the Club tab, find the club in your list and tap Leave. If anything is unclear, or you want your past scores and posts removed from the club’s history, email us.
How do I make my profile private?
Go to You, then Edit profile, and switch your profile to private. A private profile is removed from the public directory. A public one shows your display name, bio, top 10s, public lists, public ratings and revealed club scores.
How do I report someone?
Open the ••• menu on any post, suggestion, profile or public club and choose Report. We review reports within 24 hours. You can also block someone to hide them from you. More in the community guidelines.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: You, then Settings, then Account, then Delete account. Details are on the delete your account page.
