Terms of use
Last updated 19 October 2026
These terms cover your use of The Rotation, on the web and on iPhone. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use it.
The service
The Rotation is a free service run by Tyler Stallworth, an individual developer in Virginia, United States. It is provided “as is”, without promises that it will always be available or free of mistakes. Features may change or be removed.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13. If you are under 18, you should have a parent’s permission to use the app. Accounts found to belong to someone under 13 are deleted. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
Your content
You own what you write and post: scores, notes, discussion posts, lists and so on. You give us a licence to store it and show it to the people it is meant for (for example, your club’s members, or anyone signed in for a public club or public profile), only so the service can work. The licence ends when the content or your account is deleted, except for the club-history note in Delete your account.
Film, TV, album and book information, posters and cover art come from third-party sources and belong to their owners. They are shown to you to help you pick and talk about things, and are not ours to license.
Acceptable use
We have zero tolerance for:
- harassment, bullying or threats;
- hate speech;
- sexual content;
- spam and self-promotion;
- impersonating someone else;
- illegal content;
- sharing other people’s personal information.
The community guidelines explain what this looks like in practice. Please also don’t try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or access other people’s accounts.
Reports, blocking and moderation
Anyone can report a post, suggestion, profile or public club. We review reports within 24 hours. Moderators and the operator may remove content and suspend or ban accounts that break these terms. Blocking someone hides them from you.
Apple’s terms for the iPhone app
If you use the iPhone app, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Apple is not responsible for the app or for supporting it.
No warranty
To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don’t guarantee that catalogue information, streaming availability or links are accurate or current.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us to use the service, which is nothing. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they apply to you only as far as your local law permits.
Ending your use
You can stop using The Rotation and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for accounts that break these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app. Using the app after a change means you accept it.
